Grooming Supplies & Favorites

You've likely heard me say something about how important proper coat care is!

Doodle coats range in curl texture and how much maintenance they can be.

We definitely recommend a regular grooming schedule with a great doodle groomer every 6-8 weeks as a good rule of thumb. Look at the doodle cuts you like online, Pinterest is a great resource, and show your groomer all the pictures of cuts you like - or you can easily end up with a pup who looks more poodle than doodle.

Depending on your individual doodle you may be able to do a "mini groom" for feet, face and fanny trims and tidy ups between full grooms. This will depend on your doodle and your preference.

Regular washes and brushing can also help you avoid the dreaded shave - check out this great page on Doodle Doods for more recommendations on that!

These are some of our favorites for keeping our pups super cute and mat free.

BEST SLICKER BRUSH EVER

you are going to think all slickers are made equal and you can just get a cheaper one, then you will realize it's not so great and try another, and another... and eventually you will make your way back here and realize A was right all along. Buy the brush.

BioSilk Waterless Bath

Dood Woof Detangler Spray

Again - not all detanglers are made equal.

Shampoo and Conditioner

Flea and Tick Shampoo

Again not all Flea Shampoos are made equal. This is the most effective we have seen without creating any skin irritation.

Pet Cologne
